I was asked a question recently and it got me thinking… The Sahara desert can’t really be a nice place? So you cant have much fun there either, right? Same goes for when the mood is set and your body does not produce enough natural lubrication. Some of us come prepared with a nice little bottle of Durex on the bedside table but we won’t always be this fortunate and this may leave us in a dry and uncomfortable situation.
There must be some basic items that we all probably have in the pantry that could avoid the entering of the Sahara dessert? After some research and asking for advice in the weirdest of places, I found these really cool alternatives to store bought lubricants. Take into consideration that, as with anything, an allergy test should be performed prior to just getting right “in there”.
It’s good for pretty much everything and, your vagina will love it too! Buy the solid kind that comes in a jar and let it melt on its own. Its moisturizing properties make the product an effective lube and it is also believed that it allows for longer-lasting intercourse. It is especially good for women going through menopause. The only downside however, is that it is not advised to use while using a condom as oil and latex are not the best of friends.
As some lubes already contain this, this natural lubricant allows for a soothing and health beneficial experience. Often also used to treat skin damage due to fires, sun burns, scrapes and cuts, this little guy over here is a safe alternative while using a condom too. It can be bought in almost any health shop and has proven health benefits some other natural lubes may not have.
Vitamin E Oil
Some health gurus say this even enhances sex by increasing testosterone levels. If you are into your essential oils, you may know that Vitamin E oil is one of many great ingredients in most essential oils. Still taking into consideration that this is a oil and should not be used while using a condom.
What? Undeveloped chicks during sex? Yes! Believe it or not, this has been used many times before. You are not alone in thinking that this is the weirdest most intriguing lube there is. Have you ever stuck your fingers into a bowel of eggs? Noticed the smooth, slimy feeling and how it sticks to your fingers? This is why, once applied, it stays right where you need it. It is also 100% safe when used in moderation. Cracking an egg on the bed may sound less appealing so I suggest you prepare a little bowel for the bedside table.
Contrary to popular belief, products like baby oil, Vaseline and even petroleum jelly are not good alternatives at all. Let’s rather stick to the above and have a messy wet ball of fun 🙂
