The Low Down on CBD Oil

As many people know, I am a real ‘nuuskierige agie’.  I hate not being in the know-how, and am always up to try new things on the market. When CBD oil first reared its head, I was intrigued to say the least, however, not enough to actually try it.

My one and only introduction with Cannabis was in 2014 in Amsterdam, the land of the green and free. And let me tell you, it was not pretty. My husband and I visited a ‘coffee-shop’ and consumed a brownie and a joint. After this I got the munchies, and literally ate my body weight in olie-bolle, it’s like a doughnut cross vetkoek delicacy.

Once sleep over-powered me, so did the nightmares and hallucinations. I saw spiders with eyes the size of traffic lights and ended up sleeping in the bath, and vowed to never ever use any form of substance or stimulant again.

Yet CBD oil had piqued my interest, and it promised all sorts of benefits without the TCH which is the culprit in cannabis for causing the high.

When I received the little bottle from Cura Oil, I decided if not, why not. And I was pretty amazed by the results… whether it is all in my head, I don’t know, but being a sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis, having used CBD Oil has definitely decreased my symptoms and I did feel calmer and less reactive as they say.

 

What is CBD?

CBD is a compound that interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system – a series of receptors that regulate pain, mood, the immune system, memory, stress response, and other functions.

CBD does not make you high as it’s not psychoactive.

  1. I have recently tried CBD oil for my anxiety and stress. I really have seen great improvements in my overall mood and how I cope with stress.
