Minnie Dlamini-Jones has much to celebrate in 2020. After ushering in the new year with a bold bang at G.H. Mumm’s First Toast event in Cape Town, she hosted an intimate brunch over the weekend where, as Master of Celebrations for premium champagne brand G.H. Mumm, Minnie raised a glass to celebrate 10 years in the entertainment industry. She also looks forward to her thirtieth birthday this year.
A Glammed Up First Toast to 2020
On the 1st of January 2020, G.H. Mumm and its Master of Celebrations, Minnie Dlamini-Jones hosted a spectacular New Year’s Day celebration. The event, aptly named First Toast, attracted stylishly dressed guests to exclusive lounge bar, The Bungalow in Clifton. A star filled line up of DJs and live performance kept guests entertained as they welcomed the new decade.
Minnie made a bold fashion statement in an all red halter, bikini cut crop and wide leg pants combination which she admittedly styled herself.
Guests raised glasses of G.H. Mumm as Minnie gave the much anticipated first toast to 2020. “Here’s to success, here’s to daring moments and here’s to celebrating all of your achievements in 2020 and the next ten years to come,” she said to celebratory cheers.
A Major Career Milestone
The new decade is about celebrating new beginnings and personal achievements which Minnie reaffirmed at the prestigious G.H. Mumm brunch she hosted this past weekend in Johannesburg’s wealthiest suburb, Sandhurst. The talented media personality’s professional career has placed her at the forefront of South African entertainment and sportainment, accomplishments that are worthy of being honoured. As she celebrates 10 years in the entertainment industry, each presenting job, acting role and magazine cover isn’t taken for granted by the leader of the Mumm squad. As she toasted to a successful career surrounded by some local personalities including Unathi Nkayi, Thando Thabethe and Noma Gigaba, guests also enjoyed G.H. Mumm champagne and a bespoke 5-course food pairing made by renowned Durban based Private chef – Chef Lungile Nhlanhla.
Cheers to Turning 30 and Going For More in 2020
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate and launch those incredible moments. 2020 is the year that I turn 30, so I will be celebrating really big this year and of course, Mumm will be very close… I am very excited,” says Minnie.
“This year is going to be a very amazing year for everyone. Everything that you wish for the year, everything you are looking forward to this year- this is the year of the dreams, this is the year to make it happen and I wish that on every single one of you.”
G.H. Mumm Head of Marketing, Sibusiso Shangase had this to say, “With Minnie embodying our Celebratory brand crusade, it only made sense for us to honour and be there for her during her moment of glory. True to G.H. Mumm’s positioning she has exhibited to others that in the year 2020, one should strive to be the Cause of Celebration,” he concluded.
