Luxuria Brands: Victoria Yards X 44 Stanley

No one loves a luxury brand like a Louis Vuitton more than yours truly. However, let’s be honest, in the real world, when it comes to Christmas presents and day to day spending, splurging in the diamond walk does not fit all of our pockets. Well, definitely not mine, unfortunately.

However, luxury does not always have to come with an exorbitant price tag, sometimes, luxury arrives in the least expected places, and with a price tag so reasonable and so beautiful, that all your loved ones can share in the splendour.

Housed in the trendy warehouse-like space in a prime location at Hyde Park Corner, this has made way for a perfect collaboration between the exhibitors from Victoria Yards and 44 Stanley. The collaboration was a perfectly timed plethora of artisanal gifting ahead of Christmas. Welcome to VYx44, a conceptualised collaborative store bringing artisans, makers and designers from arty 44 Stanley and Victoria Yards together under one roof all right here in the north. A perfect mix of elegant and upmarket luxury stores that the centre provides combined with affordable local is lekker, artisanal craft supporting small businesses.

For those not familiar with 44 Stanley or Victoria Yards, they have re-invented the urban space in Johannesburg and brought together local markers and artisans. These two areas, although distinctly different, both focus on sustainable practices and a return to artisanal craft with an emphasis on social development.

Hyde Park Corner are bringing these artisans, makers and designers to you under one roof in a collaboration namely YVx44. This is the perfect place to discover local fashion and accessories, furniture and decor, craft and design and coffee from Africa’s first Certified Fairtrade, organic coffee roaster.

Make sure to make your way across to Hyde Park Corner and enjoy late night shopping on a Wednesday evening until 8 pm until the 11th of December 2019. For more information follow the social media pages of Hyde Park Corner on @hpchydeparkcorner on Instagram.
