Calvyn Justus of all Traits

Young passionate and driven to entertain, Calvyn Justus was only 20 years old when he made the team to represent South Africa at the Olympic Games in 2016. A lifelong dream he has been working towards since the age of nine. This meant a lifetime of early mornings, hours of training and endless sacrifices in order to get where he is today.

But for Calvyn the race has been all worth it. For Justus time slows down the moment he gets into the water, allowing him to feel and enjoy every second of that experience. This is exactly what life is all about for Calvyn, living every moment to the fullest, experiencing all that life has to offer in each and every day. Life is a precious learning process as described by Justus. Filled with endless opportunities to choose kindness, step outside your comfort zone and above all else to find love.

This young and upcoming Olympic star has much more up his sleeve then just swimming, in-between training with some of the best coaches in the world, Justus always makes time to let out his creative side by creating weekly content for his Youtube channel. Sharing vlogs about his swimming, traveling and some days simply on who he is and what he loves to do.

Although swimming stays his number one passion it is through entertainment that Calvyn finds his purpose in life. Whether he finds himself entertaining through swimming, racing, sharing his stories through videos or even doing a Calvin Klein campaign with his girlfriend, Courtney Watts.

His first attendance at the Olympic Games was a dream come true as well as an experience he will treasure for the rest of his life. But as he is going into the 2020 Olympic Games, hosted in Tokyo, he knows what to expect. He is feeling more confident with some extra nerves as he now truly knows what an honor it is.

  1. Calvyn has a tattoo of the Olympic Rings on his left breast.
  2. He won a bronze medal at the Common Wealth Games in 2018 for the men’s 4x 100 meter medley relay.
  3. He is an alumnus of Westville Boys High School.
