Triomf Kliniek

Triomf is a medical service program – which took shape in the form of a clinic in western Pretoria.

It is the result of a confluence of ideas from a group of medical professionals who identified the critical shortcomings in health care for the disadvantaged residents of Pretoria West as a nodding need. As a wide range of specialist services are already available and expanded, however, the clinic is in a position to assist the needy of all areas – provided that the correct reference protocol is followed.

The aim is to establish an infrastructure that will serve as a platform for medical practitioners to provide their medical services free of charge to those in need. The main focus of the clinic’s services is children and the elderly, but the vision is to establish a comprehensive community service whose main focus is on medical and related services.

Since their founding in 1979, The Skin Cancer Foundation has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer, its prevention by means of sun protection, the need for early detection, and prompt, effective treatment. It is the only international organisation devoted solely to combating the world’s most common cancer, now occurring at epidemic levels.

Each year in the U.S. there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidence of cancers of the breast, prostate, lung and colon. Almost 10,000 people die from melanoma in the U.S. every year. Nonmelanoma cancers such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma have reached critical levels, with squamous cell carcinoma killing up to 8,800 people each year. Skin cancer is primarily a lifestyle disease which is why The Skin Cancer Foundation emphasises public awareness and education campaigns.

Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation’s mission is to take hands with the poor and marginalised people of South Africa. They provide personal attention and direct benefits to children, youth, ageing and their families so they may live with dignity, achieve their desired potential and participate fully in society. Their aim is to invite people of good will to live in daily solidarity with the world’s poor through one-to-one sponsorship. Together they build community by fostering relationships of mutual respect, understanding and support that are culturally diverse, empowering and without religious or other prejudice.
