157 New Emojis in the 2018 Emoji List

From fire extinguishers to toilet paper rolls, cupcakes and llamas – what will they do next?

Unicode announced last year that the new Emoji 11.0 version will be available “somewhere” in the second half of the year on Android and iOs. However, more specific dates was announced, and we also got a glimpse of how these new creations look. Yippee!

Emojipedia shared the following dates when you can start using the new emoji on the different platforms:

June to August 2018
Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft

September to December 2018
Apple and Google

January to February 2019

And what about WhatsApp? Unfortunately, this date is not yet known. However, they are sure that it will be available soon!

What’s new?

Emojipedia’s list includes some interesting choices – from a petri dish to bricks and a roll of toilet paper. We are just grateful that we finally have a mosquito and a cupcake! Although some of us may not be able to send a message with a hippo, bagel or knitting wool emoji, there is a specific group of users who are looking forward to the new additions: Redheads all over the world turned to social media to share their gratitude and excitement about the new redhead emoji.
